Validation of market and customer segmentation for ÖBB Infra

The project undertook a comprehensive analysis of existing customers, resulting in the segmentation of them into five distinct market segments and over 25 specific customer segments, further classified by business relationships like B2B, B2C, and BLG. Expert-driven trend impulse presentations led to the identification of new potential clients and the formulation of 19 theses for the evolution of customer segments. These insights now align existing and prospective services with the identified market and customer segments.

Establishment and spin-off of the Ecoquadrat platform

The project successfully launched an independent platform focused on the foundation of energy and mobility communities, aiming to lower entry barriers and enhance regional value through local service involvement. This holistic approach fosters inter-sectoral collaboration, promotes climate awareness, and aims to achieve long-term environmental objectives. Outcomes include the design and guidance of these communities, a comprehensive service portfolio, and educational courses centered on energy community topics.

Ideas which pass both accilium Ventures and the corporate’s investment committees get funding and runway to iterate the business model and prove product-market fit. Launching in the market, the founding venture team rapidly iterates towards a repeatable scalable business model.

4-5 years

The venture is strategically aligned and drawing down on the corporate’s unfair advantages, focused on rapid growth. We agree to KPIs that will set enterprise value at the Take-Control stage.
